We, the French Consulate in New Orleans, Chevalier of the Imperial Order of the Legion of Honors, request from the civil and military authorities in charge of maintaining public order in all the friendly neighboring countries, or all the allies of France, as well as the interior of the Empire, so we request to give free passage to Mr. De Jaham (Louis Didier), Commissioner and Native of Marigot, Martinique, French Colony, living in New Orleans, Louisiana going to Martinique by way of Havana and we request give him all the help and protection that he might need.

This Passport was Written and Delivered in New Orleans, May 24, 1864 and he received this passport because he presented a certificate of registration. So this passport is valid for one year.

Delivered by Girard in the name of the French Consulate.
