- Jean Baptiste François Giquel y su mujer Marie Elisabeth Durand de Saint Romes, naturales de Port-au-Prince y dedicado el primero al comercio de piedras preciosas, se avecindaron en la Nueva Orleáns teniendo por hijos qui semapos: a Alessandro y a Jean Baptiste Thomas Giquel [y Durand de Saint Romes], que pasaron a la Habana, tratados a las Lineas Primera y Segunda respectivamente.
Jean Baptiste François Giquel and his wife Marie Elisabeth Durand de Saint-Romes, natives of Port-au-Prince and dedicated the first to the trade in precious stones, settled in New Orleans taking as sons who were given: Alessandro and Jean Baptiste Thomas Giquel [de Durand de Saint Romes], who went to Havana, treated the First and Second Lines respectively.
