- Nobleman Denis Bernard, a lawyer at the Parliament of Paris, came into Brittany in order to participate in the reformation of the Nobility of the province, as ordered in 1666. Afterwards, he was a judge and Lord's attorney (attorney at law) of the jurisdiction of Regaires de Saint-Brieuc. His arms were registered at the Armorial general of 1696: "Azure with a band of gold, charged with three mullets sable" [d'azur à une bande d'or chargée de trois molettes de sable] [3]
Il est qualifié " Noble Homme ". Avocat au Parlement de Paris, il vient s'installer à St-Brieuc (22) à l'occasion de la réformation de la noblesse de Bretagne lancée en 1666. Il est Procureur Fiscal des Regains en 1696 et Subdélégué de l'Intendant à St- Brieuc.
