Diego Valesco Castroverde, Baptire un Infante que nacio el dia veinte y quaatro de elle mes, pusete por nobre Franco. Xavier de la Paz, hijo lexmo de lexmo matrimonio de D. Antonio Pizarro, y de Da. Antonia San Martin, naturals de Estremadura: feu su madrina Da. Juana de Gaez, vecina de Mexico a quien adverti su obligacion.

    Translation:
    On the 27th of January 1787, with permission from Fr. Manuel de Omaña, Rector of this Holy Church [Fr. Omana is referred to elsewhere as the Cura del Sagrario y Canónigo Magistral de la Catedral Metropolitana de México], I, Brother Diego Velasco Castroverde, baptized an infant who was born on the 24th of this month, given the name Francisco Xavier de la Paz, legitimate son of the legitimate marriage of Don Antonio Pizarro and Dona Antonia San Martin, natives of Estremadura [a province of Spain]: The godmother was Dona Juana de Laez, a neighbor from Mexico and who was advised of her obligation.

      Carvajal notifies Blanc that his brother Francisco Pizarro Martinez died on February 9 having received Holy Communion from Father José Antonio Lopez. His remains are at the Jesuit College. Assisting at the burial were the President and cabinet of the United States and the foreign ministers. The sermon was given by Father (George) Fenwick, (S.J.) of the College. Carvajal and his sister ask Blanc and his priests to remember Martinez in their Masses. They are preparing to go to (New Orleans) in March; Teresa, Antonia, Teresita, Francisco and Sebastian ask Blanc's blessing.
