    • Il quitta jeune homme et avec ses parents (Charles Bourg et Cécile Mélanson) l'Acadie (actuellement Nova Scotia), au Canada, lorsqu'ils en furent expulsés par les Anglais en 1755. Il s'exila en France où il resta jusqu'en 1785. Il se maria une première fois avec Anne Josèphe PITRE (en 1757) et eu un enfant de ce mariage : Louise (°1759).

      L'Espagne, après avoir acheté la Louisianne à la France en 1762, voulut la peupler et affréta sept navires pour transporter les Acadiens de France en Louisianne. Il fit le voyage avec sa famille sur l'un d'eux, "la Ville d'Archangel".

      Rough Translation:
      As a young man, he left with his parents (Charles Bourg and Cecile Mélanson) from Acadia (currently Nova Scotia), in Canada, when they were expelled by the English in 1755. He was exiled in France where he remained until 1785. He married first Anne Josèphe PITRE (in 1757) and had a child of this marriage: Louise (°1759).

      Spain, after having acquired Louisiana from France in 1762, wanted to populate it and chartered seven ships to transport the Acadian ones of France to Louisiana. He made the voyage with his family on one of them, "la Ville d'Archangel". [5]
