- de JAHAM, Miguel YATESVILLE - Miguel de Jaham, 73, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Atlanta. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1350 Hearst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319. Mr. de Jaham, son of the late Guy de Jaham and Marie-Louise Savon de Jaham, was born in Fort-de-France, Martinique, West Indies, where he attended elementary school. He graduated from high school in Versailles, France and college in London, England. Mr. de Jaham was an entrepreneur and a lifelong businessman. Mr. de Jaham was a weekend resident of Yatesville from 1985 to 1994 when he became a full-time resident there. He attended St. Ann's Catholic Church in Barnesville, St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Macon and Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Atlanta. He was a Mason and his hobbies included sailing, hunting and storytelling. Survivors include his wife, Margaret O. de Jaham of Yatesville; his daughters, Elizabeth (Charles E.) Lauck of Lexington, VA, Madeleine (Paul) Stagliano of Atlanta and Antoinette (Don) McGarey of Kennesaw; eight grandchildren, Katherine Lauck, Peter Lauck, Caroline Lauck, Maria Stagliano, Grace Stagliano, Rose Stagliano, Chance McGarey and Alix McGarey; two brothers, Alain de Jaham and Christian de Jaham; his sister, Marie-Jose Lutjens and many beloved nieces and nephews.
