The year 1821, the 17th day of the month of May at 10 o'clock in the morning.
Before us came Jean Pierre Vaillant, civil servant in the parish of St. Rose of Robert, Isle of Martinique, and Comparal Messore Louis Michel de Luppé, age 27 years, born in this parish, horseman, squire, lieutenant commander, property owner, guardian of the male child who has been presented to us, born on the 12th day of April last, at 1 o'clock in the afternoon of his declaring and of Dame Andrea Claire Catherine Robertine Pacquet de Puilhery, his spouse and to whom he has declared to give the name Felix Claude François. |

- as Felix Claude Francois de Luppé lay dying of the flu in New Orleans, his only son Charles was at his side. He whispered to him "Tourne mai fils" (turn me son) and when Pere-pere did so his father breathed his last, tears would come to her eyes when she told me this as she had adored her grandfather who brought so much that was wonderful in her life as he moved admonish her "N?oubhiz jaimais que tu bien de la nobility." Tu est bell tiff.
